Nerds are starting to take over this country at a rate that has never been seen before. As little as 5 years ago, being a nerd was not a cool thing. But thanks to NBA players and hot chicks dressing like nerds. Also the acceptance of nerds as people who can help change the world has really taken nerdom to a new level. Peter Catush a self-proclaimed “nerd” who happens to have a body like Channing Tatum has created his Geek Revue. Catush said “Nerdy equals dirty” when describing his new revue. His show has guys dressed as your favorite science fiction characters. There is nothing funnier than seeing Darth Vader strip down to a black thong! I talked to Peter about his Geek Revue.

VL: What a great idea! How did you come up with something like this?

PC: Well I have always been obsessed with 2 things, working out and star wars. I was one of the rare nerds that actually got laid in high school. I was an athlete and an honor student. I really had an exceptional experience in high school! I was making a Dark Vader costume one year for Halloween and ended up hooking up with a girl that I met at a bar who was wearing a Princess Leia outfit. She was kind of a freak and told me to leave the helmet on. When I looked at myself in the mirror wearing only the Darth Vader Helmet, I couldn’t stop laughing. I also came to the realization that if this nerdy girl was into this, perhaps there were a lot more.

VL: Well it looks like your calculated gamble has paid off, because you guys are sold out for the next 3 months.

PC: Yeah we keep adding shows and just can’t keep up with the demand. We aren’t pocketing all of this money. We are putting it back into the show. Next month is the debut of our Lord of the Rings costumes. We are excited and want to make this thing as big as possible. We have made over 2 million dollars in profit since we started, but I am still driving a 93 Cavalier. I am looking at the big picture. Every nickel I am putting right back into the show. My dedication has payed off because as you said earlier, we are sold out for the next 3 months. We would probably be sold out for the entire year, but we are looking for a bigger theater, and are waiting on putting future dates on sale until we figure out our new home.

VL: Wow man those are some impressive numbers! I might be talking to a future billionaire.

PC: Correction, you are talking to a future billionaire! I am not a slacker, and I don’t buy stupid stuff with my money. I am taking this thing all the way. All I can say is thank god for nerdy girls. And just remember nerdy equals dirty!

Rock And Roll Stripper

Caleb Moroney the lead singer of a rock band in Kansas City has turned his band into a rock n roll male revue. Caleb was writing great songs, but couldn’t get his music to a mainstream audience. Caleb was always told by his female friends that if his band were strippers, they would make a lot of money. Caleb’s band mates are all former football players! They are all muscular and in amazing shape. At a show last year, Caleb started ripping his shirt off and the ladies went nuts. He noticed that his sex appeal was drawing people to his music. Caleb and his friends in the band were never shy guys so they decided to see what would happen if they turned their hour set into a male revue show featuring their music. I talked to Caleb this week about the evolution from a garage band to a male revue.

VL: How did your hardcore fans take your shift in focus for the band?

CM: Well I got to say that our female fans loved it, but the guys were a bit shocked. It was really funny to see the look on the face of this guy Eddie who is one of our street team guys. He looked like he was watching a live robbery. It was really funny. But eventually he understood what we were doing! We had to come up with a way to get our music out to the masses. Also we have always talked about joining a male revue. We have always been very athletic. And I guess it doesn’t hurt that we are good looking guys. So now we get the best of both worlds! We get to play kick ass rock n roll, and have hundreds of women screaming our names!

VL: So are you technically a male revue, or are you a rock band?

CM: Why can’t we be both? The music will always be the most important thing to me! No matter how we got them in the door, believe me, these ladies sing back every lyric to me. They are definitely fans of the music! I think that we have created something completely unique.

VL: In Missouri, you guys seem to be getting very huge. How do you market this thing to take it on the road? I assume that a rock band like yours will get some intrigue from the rock scenes in different cities. I can imagine someone being shocked when they walk in and you are in a thong.

CM: Social media seems to be drawing a lot of intrigue from ladies all over the country. We base of tour on Facebook. When we get a few hundred Facebook fans in each city, we go there. If a guy walks in and is a little shocked or doesn’t give our music a chance because of the male revue aspect of our show, then that is a risk that we have to take! Believe me, seeing hot women screaming your name makes it all worth it.

The Male Revue Show – A Work Of Art

Thanks to the high demand for Male Revue shows in the United States, the industry has taken itself to a whole new level. The Male Revue shows have become a work of art. The amount of time putting together one of these shows can be compared to any other large stage production. Taking the lead from Cirque Du Soleil, these revue shows have been taken to the next level. I recently talked to a Male Revue show director named Gino who does one of the biggest revue shows in the country. After his 2nd show of the night, I conducted this interview.

VL: I checked out your show, and I got to say it was amazing!

G: Well we try (laughs).

VL: You guys are amazing at what you do. Those ladies were going nuts.

G: Thanks for the compliment. We take this show very seriously. If we slack off even a little, we know that there are many other outlets for these ladies to get entertained.

VL: I have been to many female revue shows, and the guys don’t react the same way. These women seemed to almost be in heat.

G: (Laughs) sometimes they are! You have to understand, these ladies are here to have fun! It is an outlet for them. Whether or not they are missing something at home, they can let that bad girl out at my show. Also they do not have to worry about being judged. They can be as open and sexual as their heart desires.

VL: You are an amazing performer, what is your background?

G: I was a dancer for many years going on tour with some very famous pop artists. I also have done a lot of theater. All that plus my 2 degrees in business have led me to living out what is truly a dream.

VL: Do you plan on taking this show national?

G: Yes! That is the dream. It is hard to hand over the keys to someone else though because I am a control freak! I know that I cannot be in multiple cities at once, so that is a realization that I am going to have to come to terms with.

VL: The sky is the limit brother! If you can make three hundred ladies go crazy in your hometown, I am sure that you can do it all over the country.

G: Maybe we can go into business together (laughs).

VL: How do you promote a show like this? Is it hard to get a full house every week?

G: We currently have a streak of 96 straight sell outs! That is 2 shows every Saturday, and for the last 48 weeks it has been sold out. We are really proud of that. The show at this point sells itself, but social media is the main promotion that we do. At first we did some radio commercials, and stuff like that but it didn’t work. Now we have a well-oiled machine ready to blow these ladies away.

VL: Good luck with the show, I am sure I will hear about your debut in Vegas soon.

G: Come see us next year, and might be a reality.

Let’s Dance

Thanks to “Gangnam Style” by PSY, Andrew Kerling has created a totally unique male revue experience. It is unlike any other male revue in the country! Andrew had the idea when he saw the “Gangnam Style” video for the first time which was slowly becoming the most watched video in the history of YouTube. Currently as I am writing this article, “Gangnam Style” is now the #1 video in the history of YouTube. Andrew saw how the most viewed videos on YouTube were all comic relief dance videos. For years “The History of Dance” was the most watched video in the history of YouTube. So Andrew combined the Male Revue, and comedy. He now has one of the most successful revue shows in the country. I talked to Andrew about his Male Revue show.

VL: I have to say, as a heterosexual male, I really enjoyed the show.

AK: That’s the point! We want to draw in a mainstream crowd. Of course 95% of the audience at our shows is women, so we cater to them. But we definitely try to broaden the show enough where even men can enjoy it!

VL: The “Gangnam Style” finale is amazing! Are all of your guys trained dancers, because they hit that dance dead on!

AK: Yes a lot of our guys are professional dancers who have worked with huge pop artists. The guys who weren’t, I actually put them through a lot of personal dance lessons. The bottom line is that I mainly only hire elite athletes, and people in amazing shape. It is much easier to teach people with the drive and dedication to have those types of amazing bodies. Put it this way, the guys who are weaker in their dancing make up for it with their charisma. All of our guys love being on stage and performing live. They are 100% dedication to this show. They know that the sky is the limit.

VL: Do you have a bigger plan for this show than the local stuff you are doing now?

AK: The dream is to get the show on Broadway, and then eventually a residency in Las Vegas. We do 4 shows a week now and all of them sell out. That is over 1000 tickets a week locally. If we can get this show in Vegas where we have people coming from all over the world, I bet we can sell out 2 shows a night.

VL: You guys are completely original and different from any other male revue show that I have seen.

AK: Thanks! Yeah that is the goal. There are a million burger places, but the places that succeed are the ones that offer something unique. We have come up with something that no one else is doing or has done before.

The New Backup Plan

Elite athletes have a shelf life of about 5 years. They are still amazing athletes when their pro career is over, but they cannot cut it anymore as a pro. So where do these amazing athletes do when the pro career is over? Billy Jonathan Decor an entrepreneur from Portland has given these guys a second lease on life with his new Male Revue show that features former pro athletes from the NBA, NFL, UFC, MLB, and NHL to name a few. These guys get to be in the spotlight again, and they are really finding that the spotlight doesn’t have to go away when they get cut! I spoke to Billy about his new venture.

VL: How did this new venture come about?

BJD: Well I was a college athlete myself and was struggling to find the next step in life. I am very athletic, and love entertaining. I became a part of a male revue, and quickly found that I was much more committed to the show than everyone else. My work ethic is second to none, and I decided to start up my own show. I didn’t want to hire a bunch of lazy guys who were doing this for extra money. I wanted to get elite athletes that I could groom into great performers. So I called up a few friends that I played ball with, and now I have put together a male revue show like no other.

VL: What is the difference in playing college football, and a male revue?

BJD: Well the main difference is that my audience went from almost all men to all women. I got to admit, performing for 300 screaming women is much more rewarding than 50,000 men.

VL: Do you get the same rush from your male revue show as you did scoring a touchdown?

BJD: A much bigger rush! Seeing women go bananas for you is something that you can never get enough of!

VL: I read that you have some former UFC guys working for you. How did that come about?

BJD: MMA fighters are probably the athletes that are in the best shape from any sport. These guys are very gifted athletes; it was a no brainer for us. These guys have the charisma and athleticism to put on an amazing show! By the way if any other MMA fighters want to become a part of my revue show, hit me up! I have had only great experiences with MMA guys.

VL: Also it doesn’t hurt to have guys who are already established to get your male revue show an instant audience.

BJD: You are exactly correct! Our guys each have between 10,000, and 1,000,000 Twitter followers! We can get the message directly to their fans. I had no idea how many women loved sports. These guys each have their own cult following, and now we are taking them to the mainstream.

VL: What has been the most rewarding part of this new venture?

BJD: Definitely the best part has been calling the shots and being my own boss!

VL: Looking forward to seeing Chuck Liddell and Tom Brady working for you soon!

Stripper Sushi

There have been many movies that portray people eating food off of a beautiful naked body. Until now, that was only in the movies. Thanks to Rodney Kim’s new vision, for an extra $500-$5000 dollars, you can eat sushi of some of the most beautiful Exotic Dancers in the country. I talked to Rodney about this new business.

VL: So you took a fantasy and made it reality!

RK: Yes sir! I have always thought it was amazing when you would see people eat off of the body of a naked girl. I found some of the most beautiful girls in the world and made it a reality!

VL: So are all of these girls Exotic Dancers?

RK: Yes we have Exotic Dancers, but we also have a lot of models who work for us.

VL: So I can come in there and get a couple rolls and I get to pick the girl I want to eat off of?

RK: Exactly! The girls set their own price so we have girls as low as $300 to girls as high as $10,000.

VL: I bet that creates come awkward conversations.

RK: believe it or not, the girls are a great way to break the ice! Our girls have great personalities. So it is a pleasant experience.

VL: Can I come in there alone and get a girl?

RK: Our rule is that we only offer this with groups of 4 or more! We don’t want a guy to come in alone and think he is on a date. We want the creepy factor to not exist.

VL: Do you find that the guys eat a lot quicker because they want to see whats going on underneath!

RK: Ha! We definitely have seen that. However, once the food is gone the girls get up. So it is in their best interest to eat at a normal pace.

VL: How about the opposite? Do parties ever eat super slowly to keep the girl around?

RK: Yes but we have a forty five minute limit for dinner! We can’t make our girls lay there all night! Also remember that they only come out when the food is ready so it doesn’t take much longer than 45 minutes to eat sushi! It is an overall great experience and a lot of fun.

VL: Any thoughts of doing this with guys also?

RK: Actually yes, we are opening up another restaurant in Vegas where we will offer that in private rooms.

VL: How many rolls can these girls hold? They aren’t big girls.

RK: You would be surprised! We had a professional basketball team here with a party of 20 and she came out pretty much filled head to toe with sushi. It was an amazing site! They have been back 3 times since then because they were so impressed with the food, girl, and service! We truly offer a complete unique experience.

Exotic Dancer Boot Camp

Is there anything worse than a stripper who can’t dance, or even worse one that is not in shape? Dana Larkin was a former Marine who became a Stripper. She was always in amazing shape, and made the most money at her club. Dana took another girl named Jessica under her wing and before you knew it, Jessica was the 2nd biggest money earner at the club! The club owner was so impressed that he asked Dana to start training some of his other girls, and Dana’s amazing work led to a 350% profit increase at the club. Dana worked with 25 of the 40 girls at the clubs. Out of the 25, 20 of them were the top 20 earners at the club. This gave Dana an idea. If she could turn around flabby or lazy exotic dancers at her club, why couldn’t she do it for other clubs and dancers? So Dana started up an Exotic Dancer Boot camp. I talked to Dana about her ground breaking new program.

VL: So how do you do it? How did you get a 350% profit increase at your original club?

DL: Well I walked the walk so I am not able to show these people how to become successful! A lot of it is obvious, clean eating and exercise. But the main thing is to have a clear cut goal when you wake up! You have to want this! Nothing is handed to you. I start off by working with the psyche. You need to wake up every day and scream that you will win today! You will make that next step. You will get to that next level. You can’t quit. You have to take the day by the horns and run with it. I like to then put together manageable goals. Have pride in what you do. If you are an exotic dancer, it is unacceptable to be flabby. It is unacceptable to be lazy. You need to want to make money, perform, and have fun. It the perfect storm for success. If even one of those three goals are not be strived for, then you will not be successful. It doesn’t take a long time to see your body transform. And that is the thing that people need to get them in the right mindset. They need to see their hard work paying off. I change the way they think, and then they are able to make the physical change.

VL: You sound like a miracle worker. What has your hardest task been?

DL: I just signed a deal for a reality show where I will be working with a strip club in Washington DC that is losing tons of money. All of the girls there are overweight and lazy. This will by far be my hardest task, but I will not let it derail me. These girls need to shape up or get out! I plan on turning this club from a place that has lost money 3 years in a row, to one of the most profitable in Atlanta! It all starts with the girls. If they are delivering, then everything else all follows it!

VL: Will you have time to do the TV show with you other business.

DL: Of course! I am a master at multi-tasking. I have always had to wear many hats. This will be nothing new for me. I just got to keep my eye on the prize!

VL: I can only imagine what a successful reality show could do for your company!

DL: We are hoping that it takes us to the next level. We are ready to explode!

 

Exotic Dancer Coloring Books

There is a new coloring book coming out that is not for kids! Michelle Derothe is the creator of a new Coloring book series featuring Exotic Dancers. Michelle who worked at strip clubs for 3 years while putting herself though Art school has now combined these 2 arts and has put together something completely unique. I talked to Michelle about her new Exotic Dancer coloring book series.

VL: Do you expect adult to color the pages, or is it just more of a collector’s item?

MD: Believe it or not, a lot of people actually are coloring in the pages. We had a contest on Twitter for the best pictures. We had over 1200 entries. When I first started this, I didn’t think I would even sell 1200 copies. To have that many be the quote “freaks” who are coloring it in is awesome! And to answer your question, yes a lot of people actually color them in. It is fun to give girl purple boobs!

VL: What is your target audience?

MD: The Exotic Dancer industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. That will of course be our main demo, but we have found that a large part of our audience is a group that loves the stories. We do a really funny story and it alone has found its fans.

VL: Tell me about what the story is about?

MD: It’s about a group of Exotic dancers who live crazy super hero-esque lives. Penelope Poppers is the main character. She has a lot of super hero tendencies. And a lot of her crime fighting moves are the same moves that she does at the strip club.

VL: What are some of your favorite fight scenes from the coloring book?

MD: Penelope once wrapped her legs around a guy’s head and broke his neck. He had just robbed and murdered two senior citizens. Penelope is like the female version of Spider Man if he was a stripper.

VL: How many issues have you done so far, and do you have a number in mind where you will stop?

MD: We have done 53 issues so far. As far as stopping, I don’t see a stopping point anywhere soon. See I look at this like a comic book, only the fans get to decide the colors. I never have nor will I ever release any pictures of the characters in color. This way, you can decide the colors that Penelope and the other girls wear.

VL: That’s pretty interesting! All other major characters have always been seen somewhere in color. What if you guys ever did a movie or TV show?

MD: Funny you mention that because a TV show is in the works. There will be no color. It will look like the uncolored pages in the coloring book. I think it will separate us from the rest.

VL: That should be fun! Sounds like you really stumbled upon your own niche. I wish you nothing but success in the future.

Exotic Dancer Light Show

The world of exotic dancing has been through many phases. Clubs, owners, and the exotic dancers themselves have tried tons of different ways to make their brand more attractive. Tons of fly by night ideas have come and gone, but Charles McNeil has come up with what he thinks will be the next big thing. McNeil, a lighting engineer has created light up outfits for exotic dancers. These are outfits that will make the dancers light up the club that they are dancing at. Picture Michael Jackson’s most elaborating outfits but only instead on a stripper. Exotic Dancers are constantly looking for a way to separate themselves from other exotic dancers. These light suits give them that edge that they are looking for. I talked to Charles about his major breakthrough.

VL: How did you come up with this idea?

CM: It was pretty simple! I was designing suits for a race team for night races. My daughter’s best friend worked as an exotic dancer and asked if she could try on one of the suites. She asked if she could wear it to the club that night and it was a major breakthrough for her! She got all of the attention on her! She also made a ton of money that night.

VL: How much do these cost?

CM: They are pretty expensive, but they make their money back in a month. She made triple the money that she normally made that night. These light suites are exactly what an exotic dancer needs to make them their own entity at a club.

VL: How many girls have bought these?

CM: Each club starts with one girl and before you know it, I cannot keep up with the demand. It has taken the industry by storm. Exotic dancers have really found a niche with these suits.

VL: I understand that these suits saved your life too?

CM: Yes! I got a flat tire in a dark area of the road. I got out of my car to change the tire. I had a bunch of the light suits in the back. Right when I popped open the trunk, they lit up my entire area and a truck that was about to hit me swerved out of the way. They truly saved my life! I think that I was meant to create these. It has given me a direction in life and is something truly amazing.

VL: Where can people get these?

CM: I will be at all of the major shows as well as my website! However, we are trying to keep them club exclusive. So in each town, we offer licensing fees where they get exclusive rights to the suits. That keeps them special and keeps them in high demand. The minute that they are available to everyone is the minute that the girls move on to the next thing!

VL: Truly amazing product!

CM: That you! I plan on taking these suits all around the world! I have only begun!

Meet Your Local Exotic Dancer

Ever wonder what your favorite Exotic Dancer does when he or she is not giving you a lap dance? I talked to a couple Mary and Jake who both work as Exotic Dancers, but what they do in their off time will surprise you.

VL: So where did you guys meet?

J: As cliché as it sounds, we met at a bar.

M: Yeah we kind of met eyes from across the room and that was it.

VL: How long did it take you guys to tell each other that you were in the same industry?

M: That is always a tough one. When I really like someone, I sometimes try to wait a little while before telling them what I do for a living.

J: Luckily for us, I just kind of blurted it out. I knew that there was something special about her, so I didn’t want there to be any secrets.

M: I really appreciated his honesty, and made me change my whole outlook on the profession. I felt so comfortable with Jake. His honesty made it a lot easier to say, “Yeah I do the same thing!”

VL: Do you guys ever get jealous?

M: It is hard to not get jealous sometimes, but I know he is coming home to me every night, so that makes it easier.

J: And are you kidding, look at her! Who could ever cheat on that face?

VL: So let’s get into this new business venture.

M: We are so excited! We have done pretty well as Exotic Dancers, and living in South Beach, we notice that there are a lot of homeless people that can use some help.

J: So we decided that we should start doing something about the problem. We are not rich or anything like that, but we definitely have enough money where we can make a difference.

M: We started off a bit modest by feeding ten people. We started working with a homeless shelter and made baskets.

J: We had no idea what we were doing, so we made a lot of mistakes in the beginning.

VL: So how did you go from feeding 10 people to feeding three thousand?

J: Well we did it with a lot of hard work, and keeping our expenses low.

M: Things just started to snow ball. People are willing to help if you get something going.
